Max

Max

A Poem by Savannah
"

My dog died

"

You're my friend

You're my partner

You're my dog

You're my  life

Put your paw in my

hand

I know I can’t

see you but I trust

that you are here

Although you're up in heaven

my love for you is always

here

I often cry when I

say your name

I want you  to lick

my face again

I want to see you

run and play

to make me feel better

I know that

you're in a special place

And now I have to let

you go

My Review of "Max" by Savannah, a Fellow Writer's Cafe Author

Hey, Savannah

First, yeah I'm entered into your contest, and no, I'm not trying to salve you, so I get a prize. No need to worry.

Nifty, Savannah! Pet memories are cool. Yeah, some people get all bent out of shape with them, but I'm glad you are writing about this, as it give's me something to read and review.

I love reading and reviewing, and this piece is kinda personal, which is nifty.

Great job, Savannah!

Animals are family members as much as is any human. I have had to have three put down to spare them pain, and the grief is real. This poem captures those feelings very well. Good work.
