Crescendo

Crescendo

A Poem by Sazaku
"

Discarded thoughts | on sheets of lines | traversing time | through the lens of my mind.

"
Discarded thoughts
on sheets of lines
traversing time
through the lens of my mind.

Unblemished by doubt
unfiltered throughout
just the idle ramblings
of a creative drought.

A few simple words
blown in on the wind
from a realm unseen
like that of a dream.

All I know right now
is that something wants out
bursting through the glass
as if someone yelled fire
and my mind needed an ax
to break down this door
trapping me within
this reckless inferno
engulfing everything
in it's swirling path
and that something was a
bunch of scribbled shapes
in the form of discarded thoughts
on sheets of tiny blue lines
filling up my mind
til it finally burst
and swept away the fire
into this garish blaze of white
like the first November frost
on the near-naked branches
of the time-tested oaks
and pocked with tiny little tracks
from almost as tiny creatures
just trying to survive
in a world suddenly new
and that's when I realized
I'm trying to dig my way out
of that same snow too.

Author's Note

Sazaku
¯_(ツ)_/¯

Pretty much my mindset coming out of this. I basically just turned my brain off and typed for a few minutes and this came out. Been away for several days and ever since I got home, something felt... off. There's probably more in there but I'll have to dig it out another time. For now, this'll do.
