Silence

Silence

A Poem by Scarlett Letter

Silence is my Saviors Keep

In The Dark I Begin to Weep

Sitting Alone Upon the Ground

Silent as The Moon

I Made Not a Sound

A Gleaming Light

Silence Drifts into the Night

the Breathing Stops and is no More

Nothing Not Even a Snore

All Life That Once Did Exist

Died in this Solem Abyss

No One Notices or Cares

About the Little Girl Who Sold Her Wares

She has Disappeared into the Night

She Didn't Even Try to Put up a Fight

Just Sat There Lost and Alone

Waiting for Something or One to Call Her Own

Blood Covered Everything

People Would No Longer Hear Her Sing

She Was Lost But Not Yet Afraid

And in the Night Down She Laid

Not A Word or a Peep

And in the Night She Died in her "Sleep"

Silence Was my Saviors Keep

In the Dark I No Longer Weep
