Black Roses

This is about, well, many things. I don't tell you, because I think it's for the reader to decide what this is about, and most importantly, what it means....

Black Roses

Hold a secret

On the outside

They are beautiful

And yet....

They're cold

Dark

Reserved

They don't want others to know about them

They want us to see their beauty

And only their beauty

But sometimes

They shed a tear

Their true side

Their dark side

Is shown

But dispite their secret

We still see their beauty

Because,

Black Roses

Hold a secret

On the inside

And the outisde

They are beautiful


 

Author's Note

One of the only poems I've writen, as I've only writen a few. I do really like it, except the title, if anyone can think of a better one, please let me know. Hope you enjoy.

hmm I think it could use better flow, going from short lines to long ones to short ones again kind of takes away from that. But Otherwise I think this is a great poem, with a great message.
Another title could be "they are beautiful" because of the repetition (very effective by the way), although I have title issues myself.
