The Cosmos Within Us

The Cosmos Within Us

A Poem by TheSeaOfWoe
"

A comparison between humanity and the infinite cosmos that we live in.

"

The Cosmos.

The vast beauty and chaos

of all things

enduring one another.

Thriving, and dying off.

Stars. Countless,

and often stunning.

They fill us with awe,

and admiration for

the complexity of nature.

As many of them are being born,

many are simultaneously dying.

As we look out into space,

we realize

how much we can relate to it.

Humanity is beautiful,

in theory.

Humanity is filled with chaos,

and we have always been.

We endure one another

when it is necessary.

While many people die,

even more are just being born.

While many of us thrive,

just as many, if not more,

do exactly the opposite.

Humanity, in a way, is countless.

Well, not entirely, but it is

almost impossible to conceive

of over seven billion

of anything.

We are stunning,

and that is not just based on

what we’ve done,

but also what we have

the ability to do.

We admire the beauty and complexity

of nature,

the very same nature

that created us.

We are in the cosmos,

and, more importantly,

the cosmos is within us.

I like it, it's interesting and not at all dull.
I suggest lengthening some lines, for it's a bit jagged, and prose tend to be smooth and naturally moving. It needs to roll of you're tongue smoothly, and I believe you should be able to do so with ease.

This is done expertly. The flow, the wording shows a skillful pen and abundant emotion. The thoughts are conveyed clearly and precisely and the rhythm moves it fluidly throughout. It holds truth and strikes a chord

Wow beautiful extreme truth of the universe you presented here. Those last few lines are all true....

We are in the cosmos,
and, more importantly,
the cosmos are within us.

Yes I like reading your poem. Welcome friend!
Yes, very true! We're the ability of Reality to be conscious of itself. We’re Consciousness.

Reality is us;
eternally so;
we don’t die;
we just flow.
