A Writer's Prayer

A Writer's Prayer

A Poem by Blue
"

Amen.

"
What shall I write, my muse?
What kind of ink abuse
shall I unto this paper bleed?
Dare write my fearless need?

What tale shall I expose
in poetry or prose,
scattered verses on a page,
language of my sanity in rage.

Guide my pen with fluid strokes.
Postpone your playful pranks and jokes.
Grant me an experienced hand
to tailor thoughts at your command.

"playful pranks and jokes" might refer to the annoyances writers often encounter. Writer's block for example.

The worst is when you have ideas and know exactly what to write but are struggling to put it to words and coming up blank when you contemplate what to put on paper.

I like how you use dark terms. I feel like the dark side of many reveals itself through writing

The first word that came to my mind after I was done reading this marvellous piece right here is 'graceful' . I love the imagery. And ahh, this is all any writer ever really prays for. I really love your choice of words. Good rhyming. Well done. Xx.

SO well written! I like how your words provoke such imagery...makes me imagine a writer sitting, staring at a blank page with a pen in one hand and a handful of hair in the other....full of frustration and feeling, trying to pull out all the emotion inside and transfer it on paper. I really like it.
