Glass candles align with the head and heart.

The hottest of flames-----hotter than hell-----burn for all life of a wick.

Though with a wave of the night, the hottest of flames freeze.

Like a thousand needles, the heavens will scream for you

And the stars will bleed mercilessly tonight

As you fall and shatter into the blue.

Wow. This is really good. All of your poems are extraordinary. This particular one has strong emotion. I like this line: Like a thousand needles, the heavens will scream for you

I especially enjoy the heavens will scream for you part, like heaven is calling you home.

Suicide...such a terrible state to be in if you've ever had to be in that particular experience. Definitely not a walk in the park.

Great work as always!

Sounds to me like a gradual evanescence, loss of passion and finally the end to an abstract existence.
Glass candles align with the head and heart. It is the weighing of judgments whether they be met on criteria of the mind or the emotion. A struggle for keeping the kindling light of the fire burning (the same fire that melts the candle).

Suicide you say? Fragile as glass, wax melts. Mighty as fire is the passion it created.
Alternative reading: I sense ambivalence in a relationship with someone. You are not sure if this relationship should keep burning--or burn to melt.

In the night, all things are fragile.
Most especially the heart of a dim light.

Good write Miss Oiseau.

Amazing piece... I can see this glass candle as a wonderful metaphor for a heart... going from the heat of love the the coldness of heartbreak.

Its beautiful Alice. It seems terribly sad and a bit angry, like its crying out against something temporary. I think you are amazingly talented. I've told you many times before. What I like about your poems is that they really are vivid and full of emotion. I don't always get the underlying message, but I ALWAYS enjoy them.

This seems deep. :P I'm a young writer, so I don't understand much. :) But I like it.
