What's love got to do with it.

What's love got to do with it.

A Poem by S. S. Allen
"

||heartbroken

"
All I wanted was your love.
But you took it all back
Your words,
your promises.
Your laughter
I'm as broken
As you are callous.
I am as shaken
As you are shameless
It is a coward who awakens a woman's love.
Incapable of fulfilling her needs.
It is a coward whose mouth is filled with sweet nothings.
And a fool as I, to have believed.
Your beloved?
Your beloved?!
I think not!
Your betrayed, that's who I am.
You betrayed me with your love.
And now I must come,
Come to terms with you not being in my life.
Memories still linger...
Oh how I wish those memories would die.

Revisiting those painful memories serves two purposes - one to educate and be less gullible next time - the other reinforces the neurons and synapses of said memories making them harder to push under.

Oh the paradox...
Full of vitriol, caustic, angry, revengeful flowing poetry. A woman scorned and all that kind of stuff!
