Goodnight Moonlight

Goodnight Moonlight

A Poem by Seriana

Goodnight moonlight

The breath clouds my foggy view,

tight,

between soggy blinks and dusks’ ephemeral dew.

Quiet,

as creaks under planks of old,

the breath comes,

hushed,

then silently goes…

Invisible lights drape the shadowed night,

hanging with the weight of past dreams,

in flight….

They reach,

entwining,

to climb an invisible curtain,

above,

tumbling to the awaiting canvas below…

Then,

 just then he stirs.

He stirs in the tranquility of dream,

beneath the glow of a thousand,

drenched,

in the pale grey stillness of moonlight,

lying,

like a quiet, peaceful death…..

…in wait for the awakening of his beloved’s kiss

In stillness,

his warm breath lands upon my cheek,

this afterglow,

a serene slumber past the blooming eve.

Adjusting the view in the sight of mine eyes,

the lingering afore the next moonrise.

…leaving only the solitude of twilight’s light.

‘Tis a goodnight,

tonight.

Silent Moonlight.

A gentle masterpiece, Seriana, from way, way back: shy as can be and beautiful. Love leaves its mark here.. proudly, warmly.. yet a single tear still hovers. Beautiful thoughts of a Silent Moonlight, dear long-time friend.

I enjoyed reading it. Very well written and the font just adds to the beauty hidden up in the words. My heart stop worrying about things for a few minutes while reading and rereading it.
Thank you very much

Your words and thoughts dance so softly, so serenely... there is a beautiful warmth and tenderness that makes the heart sense the wonderful bliss of this moment in time. What started in a mist all becomes so vividly clear in this sweet silence. Amazing!
