Misery

Misery

A Poem by Seriana

Misery…..

How can you….be…

misery?

How can you……feel…..miserable?

Why does pain plague your heart,

devouring your quiet resolve?

You stood tall when you walked.

Towering as the ancients swaying in a storm.

Firmly grounded,

not a tear was shed,

no pause in the vibrations of your voice.

Solid as steel on the wind you were.

How can you feel miserable?

When my heart rested in your palm,

beating for you,

alone?

Love.

Misery.

What happens when fear consumes?

Your hands,

slick without hesitation,

slipped apart,

dissolving my heart in crimson puddles at your roots…

with a title such as this of course my eyes came

and how wonderful it was to read this
i found the questioning a brilliant way break apart the true meaning of misery

i was standing here in the interrogation

How can you feel miserable?
When my heart rested in your palm,
beating for you,

haunting and beautiful

Very visual words. I like the red font and perfect image which helps me visualize so much better too.

There is such a beautiful pain here in your soul's words. In the life of strength and vibrance a deep horror rises, and there is a loss that is beyond understanding. How your last lines pulled me into these dark waves of you.

Don't we all feel like this a few times in our life... but when it happens during positive time in our lives it becomes a big mystery.
