Parachutes and Splatters

Parachutes and Splatters

A Poem by Sethnicity

I know this like the Black of my Hands
because to ignorance, truth is profound
but to Experience, Truth is an Uzi Round
found in Leadbelly trying to run down
Freedom Ring crt. tied to a pair a shoot
or hanging
on the last rung
of this corporate splatter

This was inspired by Maya A. after hearing hear read Masks a poem written in 1800's and then her own called Smile. Both are commentary on the horror and churn lying beneath the surface of what appears to be a serene ocean. I simply played Amen Choir and added coal to the fire.

My friend. You said a handful in the poetry. Each statement adding to the strength of the poem. I wanted to know and read more. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.
