Plea of a God Forsaken Child

Plea of a God Forsaken Child

A Poem by Evangeline Allyson Monroe
"

This is something that I had to write and read for my writing class and thought that I should just share it. :)

"
O Angel above who condemned me here,
How can I survive this eternal night?
All that I can think about is my fear.
~~~
Please help me not to shed a single tear
Through all of this plight,
O Angel above who condemned me here.
~~~
So give me strength, I know I am not near
To the end of this wretched night;
All that I can think about is my fear.
~~~
Why make me so queer?
Did you let me out of your divine sight,
O Angel above who condemned me here?
~~~
Salvation has left me here,
To die, to perish, to be enveloped by the night/
All that I can think about is my fear.
~~~
It's not that punch, that kick, that shove I fear,
It's that I know this is not right.
O Angel above who condemned me here,
All that I can think about is my fear.
