Free From The Cage

Free From The Cage

A Poem by ShadowWarrior23

Bars cage my heart
I am scared in my own little cage
My song has gotten dull and I lost my key
I am in a trapped bird in my cage in my own little word

A song traveled along the fields and broke through the my walls
There he stood
His blue eyes were sparkling stones
His song filled me with hope

There he held out a key
Jewels sparkled in the sun started to sparkle on it
His smile sent the sun shining brightly and the clouds to disappear
Slowly, the cage dissolved and I was felt the winds of freedom

The birds flew in the wind, flying together
Their wings flying in sync and their songs singing in harmony
The clouds are gone and the cage in burned
Nothing is holding them back and I am no longer trapped

He is my savior
He is my free bird
He is my key
He is my freedom.
