Star of wisdom, star of sight

Help me on this lonely night

High above me, shining bright

Guide me with your burning light

 

Help me see what there is to see

Help me be who I can be

Help me face reality

Help me reach my destiny

 

I want to express what lies within

Let the rest of my life begin

Move on from the past that has been

Will you be my guardian?

 

With your guidance to help me through

The world seen from a different view

Uncover the lies and see what’s true

All made possible because of you

 

Meeting you changes everything

So take me underneath your wing

And with the comfort that you bring

Cause my quiet soul to sing

 

There is so much for me to learn

But first it is your trust I earn

What is given shall return

To gain the knowledge for which I yearn

 

May this friendship never end

For you are a special man, my friend
