Not Enough

Not Enough

A Poem by Shadows Ember

I cannot bear these burdens any longer,
Was bending me to your will not enough?
Must you see the glass-stained cheeks of a girl in pain to feel complete?

Was controlling me,
Brainwashing my mother not enough?

Why make my life full of terror and pain?
Are you that pitiful to fall into such ignorance?

Was my hardest not enough for you?
Or do you simply like being the one dishing the abuse?
