I mourn your loss; but you're still mine.

Autumn Rosebud; a ballad

Where art thou, mine dear Rosebud?

Thou art dearly missed within mine heart.

Thy tears I beg thee not to shed to forlorn

Mine departure, for we shalt never come apart.

Thine pages unfold to a new start.

I mourn thy brilliant blue orbs that art beyond doubtful fathom,

And I mourn thy red lips drawn with timeless art.

A sign; I need thee to reveal thy blissful blossom.

Our organs therein shalt never depart.

I hold thee deep within mine timeless autumn;

For eternity I cherish thee, never to part.

You remain blessed; betrothed, we shalt be within mine nameless sanctum.

Honestly, here I picture the n****e of males and females.

beautiful alliteration

it reminds me of Dante's inferno's circle of lust.

She is more innocent than the gypsy in "Sinful Curves." You're an excellent literary critic. If you want a warmer poem, read "Mother." Thanks you for the review. I think I'm decent in poetry, but I believe that my strength is short stories.

Oh really? :) This makes me smile, Shane! "Sinful Curves" made me very emotional, but this one just sounded like there was some insidious. I found it innocent because I thought I was protecting something.

I'm happy that I do not feel bad for finding "Sinful Curves" much better.

Actually, I am looking for honesty about one's sexuality.

For instance, my poem, "the loss of music" is insidious, bisexual love :(

I love reading Elizabethan poems. Keep up the good work. Sometimes I sneak some Elizabethan English into my poems too. The rose was a powerful symbol within Elizabethan literature. The relationship between men and women during Elizabethan times was super-romantic because every writer was trying to impress Queen Elizabeth I.

Yes, indeed the Elizabethan and Romantic literary periods were significant eras where a lot of authors vented their emotions. I take Shakespeare for example from Elizabethan literature and Keats from the Romantic. I think we have a lot in common when it comes to literature. Thank you for reviewing.
