Rosy Cheeks

Rosy Cheeks

A Poem by Shane Mohamed
"

Of her rosy cheeks.

"

Rosy Cheeks

I bloom to the sight of thy face,

To the knowledge of our merriment,

To the sight of thy rosy cheeks that bloom

In the midst of the winter’s gloom.

Your sighs melt my cold heart,

For I praise the interludes of our enchantment;

And for you I would cheat death over and over again.

Wherein your optimism lies, it is oft contagious,

For thine arrow has stuck me straight through

My impatient bosom; but I find you saving me,

Over and over again. Rescue me one last time.

The sight of you blossoms winter’s stubborn cherries.

Time and time again, I quiver from the chills of your

Merry temperament, but I would not have it any other way.

oooooooo.......... lucky you ;)
I picture you waling around the house, holding a flower, and practicing this before you rush to your love's window to woo her. Eloquently written; a bard for the ages!

You are kindly welcome sir and thank you!
Shakespeare would probably say..."how did you do that?"

i guess a such thing exists now, even if it didn't before...
you maintain rhythm even without the rhyme..and the theme of strong love shines through.

I liked the mix of blushing with blooming - it creates a lovely image. The warmth that is found in her melt, cheat death and welcome the extravagant feelings. a lovely poem!
