Aims

A Poem by DayDreamer

Everyone in this goddamn school
Is striving for the same thing,
Coping with essays, facts and figures.
Slave away, say 'everything's fine'
Long for big salaries, bigger house, nice wine.

Everyone the same:
Wear the uniform,
Put on a smile,
Sit the exam, get the grade,
Move on.

But there are always those
Who don't follow the beaten track,
Who realise qualifications
Aren't everything.
Yes, some end up in McDonalds,
But some achieve greatness.
