The Devil and the Goddess

The Devil and the Goddess

A Poem by Truth Seeker

I did not notice as the thunder clouds rolled in so quick
I did not notice as the dark clouds grew so thick
The devil took my goddess so damn fast
I was such a fool to think this love would last

The devil rode in on a jet-black bike
Smiled at my goddess and told me to take a hike
With a screech of tires they rode away
The devil took my goddess who had no words to say

The devil rode in on a jet-black bike
And he stole my love away
The devil and the goddess
Destroyed my life today
The devil and the goddess

I stood decaying by the road side
Left just to dwell in memories now the love has died
The devil took my goddess, what could I do
She wanted excitement and my cool time was through

The devil had such style
The goddess's friends being all so jelouse made her smile
So the devil won my goddess and they hit the track
I can feel the anger in me rising to try to win her back

The devil rode in on a jet-black bike
The devil and the goddess took my dreams away
The devil and the goddess left my heart for dead
The devil and the goddess
The devil and the goddess

The anger in me took over and I dressed it in black leather
I followed their tracks, my vengence stiring up some stormy weather
The devil and I came face to face, our bikes reved for a game of chicken
The devil mumbled with slanted smile "You ready for a kickin"

Fighting for my goddess and fighting for the sake
Two jet-black bikes at full speed no thought for the brake
The devil, my heart and our love for the goddess have not long left to live
Two dead devils ain't got a lot of love to give

The goddess got bored and thumed a lift
Transfixed in testostorone we did not feel the shift
Two mangled bikes and broken pride
Two broken hearts hearts left sitting decaying by the road side

The Elvis look alike pulled up in a red Cadillac
Our goddess jumped in the back
Our love rode of with wind in her hair
We sat abandoned with a fresh reek of vengance in the air

The devil rode in on a jet balck bike
But we both lost out to an Elvis look alike
Cultured attraction and broken hearts
Love is so dangerous even before it truly starts

The devil and the Goddess
The devil and the Goddess

I like words and people who use them. More than that I like to dive into the force that made them manifest. Emotions are beautiful things that make the world go round. Do not be afraid, they make us h.. more..
