Unconditional Surrender

" Daydreams of black wings and letters folded in lie, follow your abandon "

                                                                     

I am a hypocrisy twisting turning from wrong to right

lunacy identifies and claims me while in plain sight

black and white define my movement, I am

Renegade                     

the home I left is shaken, a snow globe scattered soft

one more piece set free in the fragments that remain     

anger crushing calling to jump off the edge, I am

Fury

already deemed a lost cause repeat offender at large

a choir of innocence sings my deception

one last measure for retrospect I confess, I am

Suspect

     my denial is the promise of bliss, a glimpse into oblivion’s empire

                   the fall of the mighty is overkill and gets me nowhere

       survival is the fuel to my star’s fire, brighter than ever, I am

Conviction

                   an unexpected gift, don't you see your betrayal set me free

          daydreams of black wings and letters full of lies, follow your abandon

       the pieces taken for prison are replaced with tenacity

All at once you deem yourself to be an anarchist, a rebel, a whirlwind flying in the face of elitism and the self- righteous. A force to be feared and reckoned with.
