The Final Act

The Final Act

A Poem by L.G. Knight

I cried on my way down,

I saw everything that had been so "bad”,

I saw all my hurts,

I saw all I had.

I cried on my way down,

Was everything really so wrong,

Did my hurts hurt so much?

I couldn't go on?

I cried on my way down,

My final act,

I can fix anything,

But this I can't take back.

I've always wondered what goes through peoples mind when they make a serious suicide attempt.
Thank God she has another chance! It seems she is fortunate to have a friend like you!
