Petals fall...

Petals fall...

A Poem by Laura
"

Read bewteen the lines

"

Lotus petals fall as snow
Upon dead lands, gray as mist.
A fog thick as shadow
Rolls like thunder
And the earth splits like straw.

Brittle and rigid like ice upon the wing.
All round it shines like deities,
Fair seraphs with demonic eyes,
Dark nights with vanilla skies.

Fall o’ petals like the feathers Angel’s bear!
Like dawn rising o’er Hell!
These petals, like sweet rhapsody,
Call like Heralds with trumpets
Bright as stars!

Their songs as crimson blossoms
Dance like Vipers in mid light.
The light like roaring fires
Spring and jump like restless winds.
                               Wind light as pain,
Pain like many swords
Pierce my heart as ice and rain.
And these storms I weather like a tree,
I bend…I break…snap like twigs.
And my life is a winter’s dream,
Cold and tacit as a vow of silence,
With as much substance as bravado.
False courage as strong as flaxen
And foolishly just as fair!
