The Face of Beauty

The Face of Beauty

A Poem by Colton Bose
"

A poem about and for a girl.

"

Today is a beautiful day
For today I have seen
The face of beauty

The most striking face
I have ever seen

The most radiant smile
I have ever witnessed

The most hypnotic eyes
It has ever been my pleasure
To stare into

A gaze that could stop
A hundred men in their tracks
And stun them all

And I was lucky enough
To have it glance my way
For one quick moment of the day

Oh, what a lucky man I would be
To have her glance my way again

I was feeling inspired a couple days ago. The song "I've Just Seen a Face" comes to mind in describing my mood as of then, and right now actually.

This one is fantastic.
There is a wealth of emotion in this piece and of some of the most passionate of human feelings.
The description of her is perfect in its imagery, and the fact that you stayed focused on features of her face while showing your feelings was impressive. Often times when people start with a type of imagery, they lose focus on it, but you stayed spot on.
The final two stanzas were, in my mind, the best.
The word play and overall lightheartedness of those lines give it such an uplifting ending.
Thanks for this beautiful piece.
Keep it up.
