Ear to the door

Ear to the door

A Story by Shouldyouneedus_

You can't just call me up at 5 am anymore
I'm not yours
Though I used to think I was
That's a door I decided to close
And it hurts just that much more
To be standing on the other side of the door
Just looking through a dim peephole
Begging myself to work things out
But how can I?
When all you did to Me was instill doubt
Doubt that I still carry
Baggage that just gets heavier at each thought of you.
And my mind still races
When your name comes up
Its a hey how are ya
But maybe this time we should leave it all that

This poem clearly signals that you've moved on.
It's very relatable to ex couples.
