There Is No OneA Poem by John Fitzgerald
it's alright to share your beauty Alexandria
it belongs to everyone, like the moon
when I couldn't sleep I tried to let my mind wander
but she hung on every wild detail, waiting for the hour to be up
soon I tried to break in again, there were a few whispers exchanged,
but I didn't really know what i would say if she had let me speak again
I don't know who I am in the mirror, Alexandria
this isn't my skin this isn't my honour
I have betrayed myself and the world knows
and now I lie here like a stone, w/in this room, beside no one,
with no one waiting to hurt me, and no one to share in your beauty © 2015 John FitzgeraldReviews
