The Girl By The Highway

The Girl By The Highway

A Poem by Shubham's View
"

Dedicated to a friend of mine who intrigues me.

"

The Girl by the Highway

There she was,

Her mind at work,

Evading sulky gloom.

And she sat,

On the dandy sand,

Behind,the forest bloomed.

With blue jeans on,

And a jumper bright,

What would you assume?

There played on,

A cacophony of birds,

The hawk in the sky did croon.

Clear was the sky,

The blue, evening sky,

Waiting for the moon.

Oh what was the girl doing there?

Her thoughts over her head,

A rather big balloon!

I liked the mysterious end of this poem. It leaves you wondering about what the thoughts of that girl might be, and you get lost in your own thoughts at the same time ! Very beautifully written !

Beautiful and lyrical!!! It's so different from your other poems somehow, but I love it all the same!!! Kudos to you for using cacophony :P One of the greatest words EVER!!!! Right up there next to silhouette and anthropomorphism. Rhea's right: I absolutely love the verse about the sky waiting for the moon. Beautiful!! (Oh, wait. I already said that :P). As always
BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL AMAZING LOVELY WRITE!!! Whoops, almost forgot: REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY....etc. Beautiful!

Your word choice was excellent, and throughout the poem, you genuinely sounded interested in this person and made them sound mysterious and interesting. Very, very nice work!
