Beaker's Song

Beaker's Song

A Poem by Sianna Reader

A farewell poem to the little bird I took care of for five days and then sadly, lost...

You " with the frail wings,

You " with fear in your eyes,

You " who sat in the wind and rain,

You " little sparrow of my heart.

You " who put your trust in me,

You " who never asked to be taken,

You " who breathed for five days,

And left me on the sixth to fly away.

Trust " something you had to find,

Strength " something you always had.

Heart " something that one day stopped.

Love " something I’ll always give.

You " the mischievous chick,

Will " determination, spirit, resolve?

Live " What you wanted to do,

Forever " my love for you.

You. Will. Live. Forever.
