Baby Steps Girls

Baby Steps Girls

A Poem by Siddartha Beth Pierce
"

for all those who have ever suffered any kind of travail in their lives...

"

Bright blue hair and anger at the mother

who refuses to bring her fresh clothes-

get out of my room she screams with

tears in her eyes

feelings of murder and suicide

beacuse someone around here has been

spreading lies

Big Time-

The man around the corner

is growling like a Papa Grizzerly

he's protecting something-

this psychiatric ward is most fascinating

and quite frightening too as

last time they checked me in

for fear of being beaten to death

used and abused by some

real bad guys

somebody lost it

and we were placed on lock down

in our rooms

just praying-

Dear Lord, please don't let this house of

pain, suffering and healing

Kill Me

today, if the lunatic

grabs a blade of the AIDS virus

and pins us all to the wall

I wonder who invented disease-

probably all of the hosts spreading

our family fueds around the world

and forgetting the land of the living

here is really tough during

the Code Blue's

Resting in my bed

for a long deserved nap-

the hardworking insomniac

that I am-

And yet I feel it is a good place as long

as these nurses, doctors, strangers and strong arms

can control the boring, evil snores

that put us here in the first place-

Be careful what you do

and what you say to people folks

it may just haunt you

Forever-

your senses are there for a Reason-

trust them,

enjoy them

just DON'T

get carried away on a

stretcher!
