Fit Me Like a Glove

Fit Me Like a Glove

A Poem by Siddartha Beth Pierce

You don't know who I am or do you?

You don't even know my name or could you?

Hear me calling out to you in the darkness

wanting you so to embarce my soul

that calls out for its perfect mate-

the yin to yang -

the other half of what I am

as my fountain pen bleeds upon the pages

to reminisce like blood from my veins

calling out your name-

yet I know not what it is

or whom I speak of only that I feel your presence

near with the quivering of my tears

for that soul that makes me complete

I give back to thee all that you may need

in waxing poetic dreams, drippings from my pen

my heart, my soul, truly a tale to be told

to behold you in my gaze of emerald eyes

yours returned to me, doe-eyes or azure blue

I have not a clue-

only that I seek them every day

through streets of dismay, longing

to be near the other one of me

in manly form he shall be

yet-

feminine with touch now pass me my brush

as I will stroke you in my canvas

as we later turn to dust

together in the Light

of one another's gaze

embrace me my love, freeing the dove that coos

your very soul forever to behold

your loving kindness in my heart, my mind

you do exist - now bring me your crimson lips

sealing us as One, my dear husband to be

we shall always be

free within each others arms

one anothers charms

I delight in your being

although I have yet to meet you

I know that you are there

somewhere near

now come to me my love

fit me like a glove.

I'm so jealous..... I've been trying to write contemporary romantic poetry and in return I have balled up pieces of paper all over my office! Then I read your work and you do it so perfectly. Not in the sense of those know it all, super "wordy" poets that speak of a bunch of beautiful s**t that I can't understand. Your writing is so personal and felt! Even your metaphors, though intelligent, never lose me. And you speak of passion so subtle, yet desperate at the same time. I love your poetry and I'm terrifyingly jealous!

Yes...the love of our dreams...the ONE. The one whose missing rib fits perfectly...from his. She completes him and he her...and it is a love worth waiting for. Yes. The stuff that dreams are made of. Simply sublime.

O my... it is but the words still ringing in time to which i hear your sweet voice calling to the love in which you want to find. the beauty of it speaks on many levels and it is the romantic soul that speaks to me the most i hear the love you want to give but hesitate because the pain you have suffered. it is apparent to the cry of one other that we are in the same boat so lean on me and i will lean on you and together we might find happiness. much love! blessed be m'lady

The soul of this poet's eye
Seen through the soul
Of a loving man
Knows not your name
But my soul has found you

Knowing you're a poetess
Finding you in my dreams
Of this poets soul
I heard your name called out
Beyond the budding horizon
Of Mother Nature

Seeing you slip out of your gown
Lying upon the midnight hour
Of darkness
My soul calls out to you

Embracing the love of each other
Our souls dance under the moonlight
Of your universe
The calling of a perfect mate
The love of a poet

A soul unknown to you
The soulful spirit of a true poet
Writes from his heart

The pen rests
In the arch of his hand
Writes of the love
He sees

The reflection of your
Emerald eyes
The love of our early morning sunrise
Embracing Gods painted sky

This poet seals his poetess
With a soft tender kiss
Holding each other
In the warmth of loving arms
Embracing one another
Like the warmth of a
Fitted glove

I'm not sure what to say here...speechless. I'm wanting to do a spin off of a poem here, with your permission of course. If its OK, when it is finished I can post it here as a comment. You have my wheels turning on how to start with that finish.

Good poem.
