Father

Father

A Poem by Siddartha Beth Pierce
"

For a dear friend who just lost his Father...

"

You are the kindest of men

and then

you lost your kin

so close to you

your Daddy dear One

went too soon

or so it seems

from this place

that is now

in darkness

somehow.

Although you must know

that he led a life

from to and fro

dancing and prancing

and singing along

enjoying his own

free Love tune.

It is beautiful that

you had him as long as you did

and forever he will be remembered

as he should

within your heart

within your soul

as the man that made you So,

wonderful....

Oh, there is that searing sadness in it but it also brims with hope and a somewhat coming to terms with the devastating loss. In life everything that comes must one day go but the bloody heart within us sometimes refuses to heed to reason. This is a beautiful and heartfelt piece indeed...

I love the sadness in the poem, but also the light that is in it. The blend of the two together is perfect.
