Emerald Skies

By. Silvan

Shimmering drops of light unveil,

The sun arise in misty gale,

The earth it cries in storms of hail,

For all has reckoned an end.

The skies they quake in the end of days

The fire, shift in bloody haze.

Beasts of candor hide in fear,

For change in life has become near,

And all seems over at last.

But emerald skies dot the horizon,

Beckoning life and leading a rising.

Mankind rise up to fight the evil,

And battle the terrors inside.

For an emerald sky is a sign of wonder,

Breaking mind as bright as thunder.

Sweet as lily in the flame,

Harsh as reality in its true name,

Cold as hail in icy shame,

But all is in strength.

The burden of fear forever lifted,

Nature sing of what is gifted.

The balance of life at last restored,

The strike of death no longer a sword,

For an emerald sky has passed.
