Tomorrow is Today

Tomorrow is Today

A Poem by Elina

Tomorrow is a new day;
A brighter day, filled with hope.
I shall walk freely, then;
No longer fearing the voice
That is my own.
Tomorrow my cowardice
Will blossom into radiant courage.
I will stop longing for the dreams I dream,
And start living those grand tales.
Tomorrow the sun will rise
And shadows dissipate.
Oppressions cease,
Chains unbound,
Freedom found
And truth released.
Tomorrow I will not wait
For things to change,
For a life anew.
Tomorrow I will make my way,
Battle through,
Fight "'til the bitter end."
Tomorrow will not escape my grasp;
It will not drift away.
It is not the sands of yesteryear;
Tomorrow is today.

Your welcome!
This poem instils a sense of hope and optimism.

It is a voice of defiance, humility, experience, la joie de vivre (joy of living) and strength.

The word-choice is perfect and the rhythm is smooth.

WELL DONE

Tomorrow will not escape my grasp;
It will not drift away.

Inspiration for me as a writer trying to start my career................This is outstanding. Very positive message. Heck, might print it and tack it to the wall beneath my "A WRITER WRITES..........ALWAYS" reminder. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
I like this very much. A take-the-bull-by-the-horns sort of poem. Inspirational or rather motivational, this should be printed up and posted on procrastinators mirrors all over the world. Bravo!

Thank you so much.
I had to read a couple times to just get the pacing right in my head. I know its hard for the reader sometimes to get the pace that the writer intended for, right of the bat. But after my slow brain could finally get it right, I am just impressed, and I will gladly take notes to better myself taking your art as an example.

Seriously, this is totally my kind of writing.. Especially on a day like today. To day. Take it, to the day.
Well played, Cheers.
