Depression Hurts. You Can Help.

Depression Hurts. You Can Help.

A Poem by softiesongbird
"

My own experience with depression is very mild. I have watched those around me hurt in so may other ways that I can't comprehend. This is my take. A small piece of my small experience.

"

I bare my back, hunched.

I’m vulnerable right now "

Tears are fighting their way out.

Face red with effort,

Posture too stiff,

Jaw clenched.

You care. Maybe too much.

You take me into your arms.

You make it easy to let loose.

Water of years creates rivers.

I curl into your arms and trust you.

I know I won’t regret it later

Will I? Will you?

It’s too early to tell.

Maybe I shouldn’t…

No. This is the only way.

To feel. To open up.

If I don’t start now, when?

It’s unneeded. Unnecessary.

You have your own s**t.

But. I want your help.

The title is taken from and the poem inspired by one of my fan-fictions (please don't judge, I am but a small weeb), which was previously inspired by Cymbalta commercials.
