How i felt tonight

Its 530 and time to go

But i sit and watch the snow fall

There is no where and no one for me

My heart feels like it has fallen into a pit

And empty inside i sit

There is one i love

And she loves me

But says together we can not be.

Its like water on a hot dry day

But you are told you have to stay a way

It is like cool fresh air coming off of the sea
But you are not able breathe

Its like a warm house with the a fire a glow

But you are told you must sleep in the snow

I just want to rush home to her arms

Feel her warmth, and taste her lips

Take her hand in mine and dance to the rhythm of the slow song

We will be one as we sway our hips

How long will this be ?

How long will i sit?

Since the love is true

No one else will due

My home now is in the memory of old

When we shared smiles and love that is more Precious than all the gold.

Last night after I wrote this, I took a red rose and placed it in her yard surrounded by the days snow. It went unnoticed through the night and this morning I took this picture. I dont know if there is away to post a picture here, so i put it as my main one. It croped out most of the shot and the quality is not good.

I really enjoyed reading this poem, it had nice emotion, and a nice capture of these moments. I too have experienced heartbreak, and I think you really have some good elements of the feeling of it in this poem. Good work
