Red

Red

A Poem by Nicholas Hagenschneider

Confusion
stumbles along
unwelcome.
My heart skips
twisting suddenly.
My stomach growls
A caged beast within
Stirring storms
And leaving me red.
Impulsive
My touch becomes
destructive
My voice a boom
of thunder.
My chest heaves
Like waves
crashing against
the cliff side.
Intense winds
attempting to
calm the storm.
I am left with shame
a dew upon my shoulders
An ever present regret
An ever present reminder.
My throat tightens
the last of the rain
forming in my eyes.
I wish to forget you

I will never forget you.

Thank you.
Rage, and then regret. Something beautiful, torn to pieces, and then you wish with all your heart that you could put it back together again.
Well penned. ^^
