My Dream

My Dream

A Poem by sinNsincerity

You turned the sunshine into rain

This pain needs no exclaim.

We began tossing and skipping rocks into

an ocean of potholes...

Submerged our smiles in the shallow

We turned rainbows into pots of gold.

I was born in love with you!

I asked you for the thunderstorms

And catastrophes you kissed upon me...

Always end up admiring how bright and lively the imagery your words paint turns out. It's as if one can feel the shine, colors, splashes, thunders and the quake springing from soft touch spoken of here. So picturesque is your land from where you glean pieces to present us!

Love is like that
It shakes
Runs
Stays
Driving us insane

After the rain
the sun comes right back again

Crazy

No worries, I am still grateful!
This is inspired and transforming. I adored that it made me think line by line and yet i walked (or rather clinked ) away feeling like an outsider looking in. This is personal and beautiful. Well done!

When you can write thoughts like "...catastrophes you kissed upon me..." which makes NO sense but PERFECT sense all at once, THAT is skillful writing. Saying that, "I was born in love with you!" denotes the most complete love that can occur and that too is a skillful turn of a phrase. A very well done piece you have here. My compliments! take care...dan
