Happiness is...

‘Though you’re still alive

and well living,

This is your funeral…

Now it’s been over

ten years and I

still converse with

the ghost of our once

love.

We shined so bright!

We were perfect for each other…

‘Though those are the stars

that live a shorter span

of life.

You gently ask me to move on

and fall in love with her.

You say that she's so

good for me.

But baby, I don't want to

lose us!

I'm afraid I'll

forget you.

This is true loneliness...

Its really sad, to see the pain, while I read lines, true love is always special, and unique, even you try to forget, you cant. Nobody is going to separate the both, when they are made for each other. And when nobody has given that happiness other than her, its time to see sadness by moving on, so that you will see the worth and value of happiness.
Not hurting anybody, but hurting myself, so that it is happiness for others, as how candle burns itself and gives light to others. There is still time, but i want to be the last one in line, surprise shock for others, because i need my one and I have ample time to wait for you.

A kind of funeral that seems to hurt more than the normal one, certainly a greater deprivation. Ten years is a pretty long time to hold on and something very indicative. I've found, if one wants to move on one easily can and if you can't it means you don't want to and probably shouldn't. Totally love all the metaphors you used, and it was a really clear and expressive piece. Nicely done.

I really love this poem I wrote. Some people are reading it and interpreting it as if I can't move on and let go, but that's why I wrote, "funeral," and even after the fact people really die, we move on, but never truly let go. I believe love was never born to say goodbye, so how could I entirely let it go.

This is very good poem reflecting on trying to get over and move on from a lover your still stuck on. To never want to give up what once was for something your not sure Wil ever be as significant as the star then once shined. I loved the poems. Flow was good. Word choice brilliant.
