My Crow

My Crow

A Poem by sinNsincerity

She is spoken poetry.

My sacred rosary.

But she is the one

Who holds on and pr(e)ys on me.

I'm the beauty to her beast.

Such is why my heart is the perfect feast.

Hip check,

Her hips on my neck.

Lips pressed.

Woop, zoop, sloop. . .

Bud, Not Buddy.

But you’re more than that

My lovely.

Now,

Allow me to take your breath.

Winter solstice brings out my best

And I towered the pyramid steps to capture

The heart inside of your chest.

Heka and offerings-

From putty to pottery,

The transformation of the conscious

To the sub lays the forbidden poetry.

This is not blessed,

But a sin fest.

Drunk off of your Witch's brew,

All the while,

Dangling off of your balcony view.

Do you hear my gloom?

I’m calling upon you-

Ms. Moon.

Please accept my sacred voodoo.

Thus far, my favorite poem from you. Everything works well in this poem, structure, word choice, flow, etc. As the reader, I get a clear image of a beautiful but manipulative woman, deeply insecure (which is why she doesn't allow anyone as close as the writer wants to be). Frustration and desperation are strong emotions I pick up, and streaks of bitterness (for the rejection, refusal to love, recognize, etc). An enjoyable read, as all good poetry is.

Love has a penchant for consuming and destroying. There's much scheming and pra(e)ying that goes into it. This is a strikingly different poem from your others, in look, content and format.

My pleasure. Thank you for sharing.
i love the crows ..so drawn to read this one right away...they are a strong omen i think ...interesting thought progessions ..from the apotheosis of poetry to the thing that clings and feeds ...hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm i will be thinking about that for a while ... then she becomes almost graphically sexual and then another change as the speaker of your poem takes breath, captures heart and makes an offering to the dark side ;) then the degeneration continues until the falling is complete ... as drunken in sin fests he turns to that Heka that he fed on ..now feeds on him arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!!!!! demanding sacrifice ... these kinds of dark things are more frightening to me than scary stories and gory movies ... but here i am safe and sound after several read throughs ..thank you for my new word Heka and the history behind it..very cool ... your free verse has solid rhythm ..great story says i ...your a little late or very early for the winter solstice however ... as the proximity of the earth gave us two super moons last month ..as i know you must have seen ;)

much more mythology behind your poem than i would have thought ..;)
Wow, I was breathtaken during the whole poem! Much like hearing a song rather than just simple words on a screen. Absolutely beautiful, and I loved the "pr(e)y" part, I'm guessing that you're making a reference to praying?

A perfect story of how love can make us go crazy. Wonderful, thank you for this.
