Darkness

Darkness

A Poem by R.J Calzonetti (SinisterPotatoe)
"

The sun is fading, leaving me in darkness

"

Darkness

My futures bleak, I know I'm too weak

A normal life I seek, but I'm just a freak

I'll never be loved, no one place for me above

And when push comes to shove, my facade of happiness will come off like a glove

The skin of my life is just too thin, I cut myself on everything

I used to fly on feathered wings, but I've been ripped to shreds by the talons of others

I remember when I saw a glimmer of light on the horizon, like everything was alright

The future used to be bright, but now I realize what I was looking at

Pain

Burning bright red, the sun is setting for me. Leaving me in darkness.

I don't know if my eyes can adjust.

Please enjoy, if not, please tell me why so I can fix it.

I very seldom reply to reviews, but I promise I read EVERY single one. I look forward to my next review, because it helps me learn. Even if it's just one word, I promise, I will be ecstatic to have the chance to hear what you have to say. Whenever you write something about my poems, or the themes of my poems, or criticize me it is not in vain. I will listen, learn and be thankful.

Critique: (My futures bleak, I know I'm too weak) future's

Review: Nice concept and very relatable as most people will suffer vision loss in their life time but I take to be a metaphor for so many other things in life we have to learn to cope and adjust too. Good moral message and inspirational as well and I want to thank you as this helped brighten my mood to make it a much better day :~) Bravo! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap!

Just have hope as it can really change fate and prayers too. That's all I can say it was beautifully written with so much depth.

That's good. You're welcome ☺
Yeah, everyone's eyes can adjust! Just try to look deep into it, there's beauty in everything for your eyes to see...even in darkness. It was a quite gloomy write. The last eight lines were really thought-provoking. I enjoyed reading it!
