Faded Words

Faded Words

A Poem by R.J Calzonetti (SinisterPotatoe)

Decided to lengthen the poem faded, and this is what came from it. I think it's pretty good!

Faded

My tears are bluer than the ocean

My soul lighter than the waves

My feet slight on the blades of grass sharper than a ballpoint pen that I pass past examined, heaven

My eyes darker than the caves under the ocean's faith, the air more solid than resin

My mind a crusade against the raid of beauty, of life wiped off the earth while it was ripe disposed of for nothing reasonable nothing more slight than the hairs aware of being taken away in the aftershave, crueller than our greed, truer than the reality that feeds hungrier than the soul colder than the snow inside of me, the world I hold

My eyes greener than the trees spaced in place but creating shade colder than a blade and motion as the winds blow stronger than a man’s woe makes them shake harder an earthquake, more fragile than a keepsake

My words taller than the skyscrapers, my way out farther than the words of a spite taker, they’re a lifesaver making me feel pain harsher than recognizing my own labour more useless than scientific soothsayer in a world darker than the night naked

Her presence was closer than my heart sacred, her smile more golden than the sun’s maker, her words more patient than a life’s nature, her laughter more faded than the times taken, gave more meaning than my self-hatred, more weighted than my world shaken, her worth taller than the future latent, more forsaken than my ties breaking

Staking to this lake, this land, slowly breaking in the hands of a band of human viruses with a plan to turn the sandy beaches to glass, shattering my window to heaven, my memory of a better day more faded than an effigy of the plethora of what’s left of me, separate dreams, more lost than the theme of a thousand screams being silenced, being faded, fading away more plain than white paper

My creativity more faded than the fog staying, my view more shaded than the groundbreaking, my essence more hated than my past, why crush creation? Why turn the wildlife into ash, an empty Claymation of what used to be? Concrete sheets from dirt and trees? What world did we weave out of what I used to see?

What has faded, watching it leave with every moment that be's, older than my life, bolder than my strife, packaged, bagged, sliced, sold for a price, not a grain of rice suffice a virus a device, lost in the vice

My world has faded, leaving me behind in a burdened wasteland of dead friends, cruel men, islands on a bare land, for a grand, sold, the world, the sea, the land, slipping like sand through my fingers again

My happiness, my elation, saddened, sour, faded,

More jaded than the people who moulded my mind

Made it this way in the first place more fallen behind than a rail train line designed to be forgotten

Like dead dreams, more rotten than the air we cherish and need clean to breath more easily than the four season

My world more faded than my story, more lost than the beauty I believed in

The colour more faded than my memory

What I see more faded, shaded like sadness being shadowed by hatred

I can’t see anything sacred

Faded, through fate have we lost everything, is our purpose breaking?

Faded cleverly dismembered dreams stuck together, themes, cured of the concrete streets and high rises like a disease, humanity

Blow away, moving on more gone than the breeze, less needed than I seem to be

Faded, released, more faded than the picture I see in front of me, sodomizing the scenery

I very seldom reply to reviews, but I promise I read EVERY single one. I look forward to my next review because it helps me learn. Even if it's just one word, I promise, I will be ecstatic to have the chance to hear what you have to say. Whenever you write something about my poems, or the themes of my poems, or criticize me it is not in vain. I will listen, learn and be thankful.
