Masterless

Masterless

A Poem by R.J Calzonetti (SinisterPotatoe)

The meter in each line is 11. Enjoy

The dog grovelled at the feet of his master

Although autumn’s disaster shaped the b*****d

He knew the blood-feud would rain red on their heads

The remains of a thought process long undead

The leaves were bred to fall, just like us alone

Temporary molecules, the follicles

Fossils of the colossals collision a

Prison decrepit, electric elected

The dog is death, the desert bled, leisure

Endless masterless is the abyss darklit

We have corroded, cloaked in empathy there

Is no sympathy, for the sin within the being

Waiting out in the open, broken bandage

I am a stray bullet looking for a gun

Do you want to have some fun, forfeit, regret?

Undone, the sun sets, I won’t be there in the

Morning, I won’t mourn my master, a pawn of

The b*****d buried in the pasture, like a

King of flowers, soaked in his passion, what  a

Coward, ration the hour, sour green apple

Sample the flatter of dark matter, thick grey hate

Batter, lather in the mixture, pattern on

The prairies carry my matter back to birth

Saturn looks down upon the moon, through silver

Spoon, looming over the clover, cluttered dull drowned

In death, cutlery cuts through monotony passing

I think I live in a casket, every dark

Crevice emptiness, a necklace around my

Heart beating, singing neglected, machine gun

Mark eats sparks that soar from red fire, never

Expire burn higher, the last masses cast cold

Wire around my heart, darkness, to depart

Massive choirs have gone quiet, masterless

Smouldering remains, of the same among the

Sane, ingrained freedom tastes gamely, contain pure

Insanity, amenity remains here

Memorized by the eyes of the dog, our mind

Is one, clear like the sky, goodbye bright daylight

Nighttime closes my mind to the world, reborn

Old, torn from the ground, I grow alone now, found

Author's Note

R.J Calzonetti (SinisterPotatoe)
The blade is life, but it is also death.
Those who hold the blade complete that beauty.

I very seldom reply to reviews, but I promise I read EVERY single one. I look forward to my next review because it helps me learn. Even if it's just one word, I promise, I will be ecstatic to have the chance to hear what you have to say. Whenever you write something about my poems, or the themes of my poems, or criticize me it is not in vain. I will listen, learn and be thankful.
