"Last Day"

"Last Day"

A Poem by Douglas Bujak

"Last Day"

walking straight through the eyes of everyone

walking past the sad faces that never feel

Walking away trying to hide

down the trail and next to the tree

there sits a man who feels forgotten

this man loses hope for happy lives

the man thinks about his future

It is a haze across the horizon

the man knows not what is to come

but prepares for the worst

This Man on his last day

walked out to the quiet woods

so peaceful and then he took out the gun

started crying, while his hands started to shake

but still, "I never wanted this" he says as he takes a breath

he stares at the cool steel in his hands

the trigger teaseing his finger as he slowly points the gun to his head

The man whispers, "When All Else Fails, Remember Me"

Bang!!

First stanza reminds me of the song mad world-
The end of it reflects it.
The imagery is great.
Nice write.

I really liked this!
It's very sad but for some reason I still really liked this.
I like this part:
"The man whispers, "When All Else Fails, Remember Me""
Excellent write.
