Ear of an Angel

Tried my first prompt based poem.

Your touch seems but a faint memory now
Like the gods to this earth.
My lines no longer come out clean
Just a garbled mess,
A young boy's attempts at love
But a demon's words
Sound odd and obscene
To the ear of an angel

Hi Merle, I don't entirely understand what motivated this but i like it. Your 'about' is enigmatic too - I bet the story would be interesting or are you just teasing!

Thanks, Alan! This poem was one I originally wrote for a contest. The rules were to write a poem inspired by the prompt, "I'll explain myself in broken verses and scattered," and keep it under 80 words. It was actually the second poem I wrote for the contest since the first one was too long. I will be posting the first one later if you check on my page. Thanks again!
