On Love's Absurdity

On Love's Absurdity

A Poem by Sergei
"

The nonsense of love.

"

if you bothered to check

beneath mirror-smooth smile

and salacious smirk

beneath mind boggled with murky bog

of love and philosophy and madness and c**k

beneath “I’m fine”s “Amazing”s “Yes’s;

lie lips tired of phantom kisses

fears of lonesome deserts distant oases dark skies rumbling thunder silent storms

self-inflicted mental wounds manifest in scars on skin

sentences end before they begin

a life unlived in living

dreams that plague a rational mind

“no, no, that cannot be”

yet contemplation is me

eyes dried mind tired bleeding heart time apart

the singular object of meaning in this absurd existence

supernova:   too bright too hot too brilliant too real too painful too absurd too ridiculous too sad too unreal too real too vicious too much;

unfair to ask of such a small body

to deal with the enormity of love and existence

stupid and immoral to love and expect love

what do cold atoms care for love?

' what do cold atoms care for love? ' Warmth, perhaps?

Your words riplle and rise, searching for answers or the ultimate answer.. if there is or ever can be one. Is Love absurd or is that people make it that way; rarely treating it with the repect is deserves.

Your words are far more powerful and complext than mine.. and yet, one true kiss is simply beautiful between two peope who's lips fit..

Wow! This is really fast paced, but it suits. Your word choice and word placement are astounding. I am a sucker for alliteration used well, and you definitely used it well!

I most definitely will!
Your poem is great at describing how love is so complicated. Interesting to think how love is ever-present--in our society, in TV shows, films, etc.--and so studied, yet no one knows the purpose or meaning of love! All we know is that there is more to love than just saying the word.

True love is closer to a puzzle that we spend our life piecing together.
