God is Great?

God is Great?

A Poem by Sergei
"

Investigating His majesty

"

God is great

Miracles from supernova suns to live births to life itself

works of art superior to all hanging in

the Form of Galleries

Wherefrom would such power be birthed

than in the spirit of creation of the heavens and earth?

God is great

Tell Him-not-Her-not-Them-just-Him that every Sunday

or is Friday? or Saturday? or Wednesday?

Sunday night or Friday morning? Wednesday afternoon, or twilight?

after saturday afternoon tea, or on sundays before becoming too lazy?

perhaps every second wednesday, unless the date is an even number?

what about an odd number? why not odd? Odd.

God is great

Constant reaffirmation of magnificence

by song, poem, lyric, scripture… life

God is…

A parasite existing only by burrowing in babies’ brains

eyes and minds and lives destroyed

An earthquake destroying land, lives lost in divine display

Men with madness, complexes crammed into craniums not yet

efficiently evolved to embrace absurdity

Men with madness driven to murder and rape and exploitation

and subjugation arbitrary discrimination slavery

death and destruction

… the absence of intervention

god is not great.

Fantastic Siraaj. I have been thinking of writing a poem with a similar message myself. This succinctly expressed all of my feelings on the matter. Well done!
