Passionate Dreams

Inspired by "The Blue Lagoon".

It soothes me to think about what lies beyond

When the world sleeps deep and dreams sound their horn

I feel the gentle brush of a cool breeze in my hair

I hear the sound of gushing water and rustling trees everywhere

The bright sunshine enveloping your frame

Hand in hand and face to face, my consciousness wanes

Perfect calm overrides my complex train of thoughts

All I see, all I hear, all I feel is you; but what

Is that you think or feel at this perfect time

When all my life seems frozen in this incredulous moment of mine

I hold it so dear to my fluttering heart

But the excitement of your presence is bound to tear it apart

Another deep breath, another hidden smile

Another glimpse of your face, I forget the world for a while

Would you like to meet me on my paradise isle

Would you prefer a life of mutual exile

A place somewhere out there still awaits

What is stopping us but imaginary gates

I am eager to walk barefoot on the sand

Plunge deep in love in that foreign land

Look in the depth that your eyes conceal

And have you lock me in an embrace, head to heel

We’ll create a legend on that lonely isle

You and me together, alone for a while

Author's Note

I read the summary and watched the trailer of "The Blue Lagoon". The story and plot sounds incredible and very interesting. My poem is just an attempt to catch that feeling.
P.S. - The ending is too weak, don't you think? Any suggestions?
