Between reality and fantasy

Fade into the dark abyss of nothingness.

Hold me

So I can print this feeling

Mark it permanently on the walls of my heart

And feel it again and again and again.

Look in my eyes

So I can see, once again

The depth that emanates from them

The dark blackness that never seems to go empty

And is forever brimming with life

And love

Eternal?

Unconditional?

True?

 

Maybe.

Yet, it is there

Making its presence known

With every blink

And every touch

And every whisper.

As you stand here with me

All I can do

Is not forget to breathe

And realize that soon enough

You will go

So will I

To our own little empty worlds

Only to meet again

And rekindle the fire

Which is but a spark

That never burns out

And feel the heart cloud the mind

Feel the wavering and flickering flame

Burn with all its might

As we warm each other

On a lonely winter night.
