Lost

Lost

A Poem by Sarah Morgan

Walking these streets of shame

What was my life

Might as well be a game

Sometimes you win, Sometimes you lose

Sometimes you'll hurt, Sometimes you'll bruise

Nothings for sure, Not anymore

There so quick to judge

Consumed with hate not with love

I've lost my place in this world

Everynight I pray for someone to drown the hate

It seems were all interlocked with destiny and fate

When is it when we will win the war over commited sins?

Violence everyday

Sinners walk the earth

Those who've lost there worth gave up the search

No more wishing on the stars

It's a waste of time

Blinded by the lights, Blinded by the shine

We've lost our meaning

We've lost our minds

I guess were running out of time

Did we all just black-out?

We've lost our hopes

We've lost our truth

We've even lost our youth to the evil that tempts us

I guess in time were all going down

All that's lost will never be found

This earth is a living hell

Were captured under the dark black veil

Sarah Morgan,

My heart goes out to you. Beautifully, painfully true a piece this is.

More should review this piece.

Loss of youth - this is truly where it begin. You gracefully give us a glimpse into someone who is truly broken yet does her best to stand tall. The fight is truly worth the reward as long as we give a good fight.

I have always asked myself why some seem to be required to fight hard than others just to take a step forward.

Wonderful emotions in all your writes

Have a Wonderful Day

P.s. You might consider entering this into book 2 (Dark Secrets) Just a thought (smiles)

I agree... I like your rhyme scheme, gives a really good "flow" to the piece.... However your underlined verse leaps right off of the page and kind of outshines the other verses... if this was your intention then bravo! It is kinda etched into my brain.... the different fonts, sizes etc. give it a feel of many different people declaring this piece... thanks for sharing!
