dating aliens

dating aliens

A Poem by SkinlessFrank

they

put me

to sleep

just before

the great ship

left the

blue world

so many

years ago

and now the stars

look different

and

i've found

a new kind

of love

pulsating

shivering

icy

I told her

if there’s blood

i’ll be there

inside it

listening to

your sighs

as you

drift in and out

of phase

because

we both

know now that

this universe

is winding down

and a new one

awaits

just beyond

the liquid

barrier of

time

The wonders of life, just when it seems to wind down, the new comes around...its all one big circle...and the brand new eyes see it all in their way ,and takes us right along...

Thanks for reading between the lines, and for you photo comments. And you're right...it is a circle.. read more
Perish the thought, but what's the betting there's a MacDonald's just beyond the liquid barrier of time.

Beccy. :))

Sounds like something Whitley Streiber would appreciate.

-- wow... there are so many precious moments in this poem... and yet there's a deep and unforgiving sadness... -- for me, this is more about the narrator seeking that new universe "beyond the liquid barrier of time"... an expression that is so infinitely poetic that it astounds...

See, I don't find this one funny at all. It's really quite beautiful. Love is timeless, as ancient as yesterday, and as freshly born as one second from now.

you nevva disappoint mon ami. wondering, as i look about, if you or me are about the blood.... regardless, time endlessly presses upon the chest. blue, insistent, waiting ..... for newness or the end? love your head scratchers tho this one is mostly palatable. xx

I think the whole universe wants to get some sleep. Its been a long 12 million ears since we hung in trees. so, dating aliens sounds like a plan. Sure.

Thought I'd add a more civilised review!!!! :) However, having to control my laughter re. the comments below!

Right, deep breath: your words flow and your feelings show in an ever twirling head to toe piece of yearning. Tis quite obvious those aliens have something special offer to share, so, take me to their leader.

hmmm, sounds cosmic. Winding down... well, better late than never. Which reminds me of a story about albatross....
