Faith In Humanity

Faith In Humanity

"Beautiful Infliction within words." -Wattpad User

"
Standing on the shores edge,
My eyes flitting across the waters surface,
What am I searching for?
Nothing except the world's greatest furnace.
The one that gives you faith in humanity,
The one that warms your heart and soul,
Give or take a few coins; Make a wish,
And throw them back into that fountain pool.

Look up, smile at the sky
Hold your hands over your head
And scream "I tried!"
Because then your happiness will be fed
So it will grow;
Real or foe!

A wave crashes and sprays me in the face
Soaking wet, I chuckle
Not because it's funny
But for the ocean having a prank that buckles.

I see these people that have depression
And I am happy for them
Don't get me wrong, it's horrible to have it
But once the light filters in, sewing the holed hem
Those people see the beauty on this earth
Unlike the already happy
Because being sad and feeling worthless is like dying during birth,
We pull through and cherish the life we have
The meadows, the hills and mountains, the rivers, grass, and streams
That will push away those pained cries and screams,
They will wash the blood from the cuts,
And they will refresh the victim from feeling nuts.

A ways away a family of whales come up for air,
Making a small humming noise that a normal mind would pass on as wind,
But I grin as their beautiful sopranos carry through to share.
Individuals, they are, but they're coming together to make an amazing sound,
What if we were like that? Us humans,
We're different, everyone is never the same,
But then why do we choose to hate each other that are different
If these whales are different but come together without shame?

I push myself from the rocks and into a small town,
Walking along the roads when I see a truck rumble towards a store,
A dead predator in the back; face down.
My thoughts pull together in a large motion and I stop on the corner to watch the men
Get out and go to admire their kill;
What is wrong with this picture?
Do we ever notice how we kill for fun
But if a predator kills a human for food
We murder that animal to be shunned?
How cruel we must be...
Why do we think we're superior to
Everything else?
What if Bigfoot came out to say boo
And we shot him down from scaring us?

Down the street a bit a man is giving his lunch to a homeless man
And as I watch, the homeless man's face lights up with gratefulness
Faithfulness in humanity is what we need
Faithfulness in humanity...? Yes we can!

Love who hates
For when the lovelies fall, the haters will be there to catch them
They will be able to fix that hem and light up our world,
But never hate anyone,
For when you fall,
No one will be below and you will be mauled.

Love this world because someday
It will all be gone
And love who took care of your physical body
Because when this life is over,
The burning wont be the created bond.

As the sun sets overhead,
I smile one more time
Before going home, restlessly, to my bed
And thinking about tomorrows uncorrupted crime.
